Our Registered Dietitians are experts in medical nutrition therapy, diabetes education, preventative medicine, behavioral change strategies, and weight management techniques for both adults and children.
As part of our services, we offer the option to go to home care residences to help the members learn about healthy food choices, nutrition counseling, and even quick meal preps that are suitable for their lifestyles and demographics.
We take the time to get to know the residents through the help of the health aides that work so closely with them. Through this time, it is important to convey that dietary choices can significantly decrease the amount of medication needed to treat chronic health conditions or diseases.
As part of this practice, it was my pleasure to participate in an event with Caliber Home Health Care on December 7, 2019, at the APA Hotel in Iselin, NJ. Caliber is a company that takes pride in offering the highest level of care for its members and understands that by assisting members and loved ones, they, in turn, will be able to sustain and maintain their normal daily routines.
Their core practices and strong values enrich the lives of loved ones through quality of care and personalized services.
During the event, we discussed healthy eating habits & appropriate dietary choices with over 100 health care aides. Not only will this partnership and information sharing help them to assist in their members’ lives, but it will assist the health aides to be strong and proactive about their own health as well. If the employees are healthy, they will subsequently provide better care for Caliber members.
Their roles play a vital part in making sure the elderly continue to live normal, healthy lives by supporting nutritious lifestyles to improve physical health, mental well-being, and overall quality of life.
It was such a wonderful experience working with Caliber and building these relationships to assist both the health aides and their home care residents.
